This course was created to show you that YOU CAN draw faces and yes, you can do it even with your non-dominant hand! You can pick any subject you want, but because I love drawing whimsical (imaginary) faces, this course is going to be all about faces.
Explore with me a simple technique of drawing with your non-dominant hand and wow yourself in the process. With a little practice, you'll get some awesome results! This is a great exercise for the brain, and you'll see that you discover new things about yourself in the process. A playful process in which we dive into the "imperfect perfect". Grab your pen and a piece of paper and let's get started!
We'll use all kind of art supplies and develop a personal style for each supply we get to use. You'll see that as you practice drawing with your non-dominant hand, you'll get better results in time and have your favorite art supply that you will be drawn over and over again. Be it a regular pen, a ball pen, a graphite pencil, POSCA marker or watercolor pencil, you'll get different results with each one.
And the best part? We are going to use acrylics to add some color to our faces! You will see how a simple sketch turns into a painted whimsical face in almost no time. Grab your art supplies and let's draw some faces with our non-dominant hand!
ART SUPPLIES LIST
First of all, you don't have to buy any fancy art supplies. It's great to have them, but when you are just getting started, it's better to try your hand with what you have around your studio.
The best part is that you don't need too many of them for this course. You are going to use basic art supplies that any artist to be has, like pen, pencils or markers.
What I use in this course:
Mixed Media Artist born in Bucharest, Romania, Cristina loves to create mixed media whimsical faces using mostly acrylics and colored / watercolor pencils to enhance and beautify art journal pages and canvas works.
My passion for art journals begins in 2012 when I first discovered art journals and mixed media. Since then I have perfected my style and techniques and I'm happy to share them with you in my online courses.
I love to paint whimsical faces but also I'm into painting animal portraits that have a story behind. Animals are such a great subject to paint, and they have something unique, that sparkle in the eye that drives you to draw and paint them even more! On top of that, I also have a call for abstract painting, so join my 'abstractization' course as well!
Come join me in this amazing art journey called art journaling and mixed media! Click the "Enroll in class" button and I'll meet you on the other side as a registered student.
Thank you so much for joining my drawing with non-dominant hand course! I hope you'll enjoy every minute of our artventure!
